TEMP TO PERM PURCHASE TO PAY ADMINISTRATOR JOB

Your new company

Hays are recruiting for a dynamic and ambitious retail company based in Manchester city centre. They are currently seeking a Purchase to Pay Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis, with the exciting potential to transition into a permanent role.

Your new role

As a Purchase to Pay Administrator, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s purchasing and payment processes.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:

  • Verifying the accuracy of invoices and documentation provided by suppliers before forwarding to relevant parties such as banks and clearing agents.
  • Managing stock invoices and match with purchase orders.
  • Liaising with merchandising team regarding supplier orders.
  • Liaising with sales team regarding stock delivery dates.
  • Liaising with warehouse team and clearing agents as appropriate.
  • Processing non-stock invoices e.g VAT
  • Assisting with the year-end audit process.
  • Recording and updating information regarding the order and shipment schedules.
  • Overseeing postponed VAT account transactions and duty deferment statements.
  • Generating stock receipts and recording payment journals on the system.
  • Finalising import bills and processing loan payments.
  • Other adhoc project work when required.


What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have a ‘can do’ attitude and be able to hit the ground running. You will have a confident and efficient communication style in order to communicate effectively with various departments across the company. Prior experience in Purchase to Pay processes is required, with a preference for candidates experienced in handling import goods.
