Relationship Manager (Financial Institutions)

An industry-leading international/foreign bank based within central London is looking for someone to join their dynamic team as a Relationship Manager. This bank is one of the top 20 international banks and has a large established presence within London and the United Kingdom.
Your new role
In this role you will be a Relationship Manager in a dynamic and fast-paced banking environment. Responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with clients in the financial institutions sector. Executes deals, both syndicated and bilateral, on behalf of banks and non-bank FI clients. Promotes cross-selling of Financial Institutions’ products, covering areas such as syndicated loans, fund finance, Nostro accounts, trade finance, foreign exchange, and deposits. Conducts thorough due diligence, credit analysis, and proposal preparation.
- Credit Application and Renewals: Prepares credit applications and renewals for Financial Institutions clients’ limits and facilities.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivates relationships with potential clients and maintains existing client connections. Market the range of products and services offered.
- Loan Portfolio Management: Develops and oversees a loan asset portfolio aligned with the bank’s risk appetite.
- Risk Assessment and Due Diligence: Initiates risk rating assessments. Conducts comprehensive due diligence and prepares credit submissions, adhering to the bank’s standards and procedures. Presents findings to the credit committee.
- Client Onboarding and Compliance: Ensures timely onboarding of new and existing clients. Follows KYC-related policies and procedures. Collaborates with the COB team to complete client onboarding and conduct annual/quarterly reviews for FI clients.
What you'll need to succeed
- A degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of banking industry experience.
- In-depth knowledge of balance sheets, cash flow and income statements.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially VBA/Spreadsheet.
