New build secondary school seeking an IT Technician to provide interim support with hardware & software.

Your new company

This secondary school has recently moved into a new build facility based in the Ormskirl/Liverpool area, and they have approached Hays seeking some interim IT support while settling into the new building. The school has an excellent reputation, having held a Good OFSTED rating for a number of years and being part of a wider multi-academy trust, they have a strong focus on continuously improving standards.

Your new role

As the school has recently moved into a new building, they have a significant amount of IT work which needs completing in order for the school to be fully functional and the IT Manager has therefore approached Hays seeking an IT Engineer to provide support. This support will include installation and building of hardware, ensuring that all software is installed correctly and that all IT equipment is functioning correctly to allow successful teaching and learning across the new site. In addition, you will be installing new technologies such as interactive whiteboards, large TV screens and support with AV equipment being utilised in school. This role will initially be for a period of 1 month, but there is a chance that this could extend further.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, you will have IT Engineer/IT support experience with experience working in a school or college setting being beneficial. You will be available to start immediately and willing to commit to an ongoing role, involving both the installation and maintenance of IT equipment. Should you have an enhanced DBS already on the update service this would also be beneficial.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will be paid a competitive daily rate and will be joining an experienced team, working towards a common goal of ensuring effective teaching and learning on this new building site in Liverpool. You will be supported by your dedicated Hays Consultant and will also gain access to our Hays Refer a Friend Scheme where you could be entitled to receiving up to £500 in vouchers.
