Your new company is a leading highway design consultancy, specialising in maintaining vast sections of the UK's transportation and infrastructure routes. Currently working across the Northern super-region, they have an action-packaged and exciting pipeline of work through 2024 you can get involved with.

With design hubs in Salford Quays, Manchester and Penrith, their design capabilities have continued to go from strength-to-strength, having successfully navigated a tricky highway market in 2023.

Your new role

As a Senior Highway Engineer your primary responsibility will be to lead and deliver the design of schemes across all stages from concept, through detail and into construction. Furthermore, mentoring and offering support to graduates, checking the work of technicians and contributing to report writing will all be tasks you will gain experience in.

From pavement design to highway realignment on roundabouts, signalling junctions and other infrastructure, you will get hands on in a fast-paced and technical role with support from Seniors along the way.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed, you will need at least 6 years' post-graduate experience in the design of highway schemes, and preferably some experience in maintenance design.

Experience using AutoCAD, KeyLines, KeySigns and vehicle tracking software is also highly desirable.

Chartership is not a requirement however in order to access the higher salary banding, it's important.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will receive a competitive salary up to £55,000, working with an inclusive and flexible consultancy whilst you gain fantastic experience across a range of schemes.

Your new company works flexibly, requiring one day per week minimum in the office and work 37.5 hours a week.

Competitive pension and other company benefits are all included in the package.

For those who aren't chartered, support throughout your learning and reviews is strategically offered. Further, bonus upon completion can be expected.
