Health and Safety Business Partner - Liverpool

Your new company

Established over 150 years ago, my client are a nationally funded group located in Liverpool.

Your new role

You will be part of an exciting team reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, working across multiple areas of Health and Safety, gaining exposure across every area of the business. You will support the Executive Directors and Heads of Departments in providing and embedding, communication, consultation, participation, maintenance, and monitoring of the Health and Safety Management System.

  • Implement and monitor the risk assessment process with a focus on risk reduction.
  • Support in the procurement process to ensure H&S requirements are met for service and suppliers.
  • Implement a Contractor Management process to initially assess H&S competence and to enable effective monitoring and reviewing of contractor performance
  • Enable and support risk profiling activities to ensure your designated directorates can fulfil relevant statutory duties, compliance and adopt best practice. Identify gaps in existing H&S activities and procedures, and assist in researching, developing, implementing, communicating, monitoring, auditing, and reviewing the new/revised activities and procedures.
  • Ensure all incidents (including near misses) and accidents are captured, appropriately investigated, and recorded. Compliance to ‘Reporting of Incidents, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations’ (RIDDOR) and to submit reports as required in a timely manner.


What you'll need to succeed

  • NEBOSH certificate
  • Working in a complex, multi-site, multi-disciplined visitor-facing organisation
  • Working experience and knowledge of fire management

What you'll get in return

This is a permanent vacancy offering a salary of £36,852. There is a hybrid working policy but will be required to be on site when needed.

  • 28 days plus bank holidays
  • 37 hour working week
