AVP HR Business Partner needed for a financial services company in London.

Your new company

You will be working for a global financial services firm in Central London.

This role will operate on a hybrid working model with an expectation to be in their London office 3 days per week with the remaining 2 days as WFH.


Your new role

You will be working as a Temporary AVP HR Business Partner for an initial 3-6 month contract. This has the potential to extend further.

This role is responsible for the provision of professional support to the Senior HR professionals within the Human Resources department to ensure the effective delivery of HR services to the business. The role has designated responsibilities and projects incorporated.

Some duties will include:

Relationship Building

· Be a positive, professional and proactive ambassador for the HR department in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

· Develop credible relationships with both internal and external clients to foster an open dialogue and deliver a professional service.

· Contribute to the HR Departmental objectives by proactively recommending innovative, effective HR solutions.

· Respond to day to day issues that arise from the business. Researching and responding to questions from Managers and employees regarding HR policies and procedures, consulting with the HR Director and HR Executive Director where appropriate.

Core Processes

· Provide support to the HR Director and HR Executive Director when required.

· High quality and proactive provision of HR support to the business, to ensure that the department delivers a professional and efficient service to the business.

· Manage the Maternity Process and monitoring other types of leave, including Paternity, Shared Parental Leave, Career Breaks and sickness.

· Managing flexible working arrangement requests; tracking arrangements via SucessFactors, preparing trial and confirmation of Flexible Working Application letters and liaising with the business and individuals in respect of these requests .

· Advise on and manage any redundancy and restructure process; obtaining redundancy costs from the payroll team, preparing settlement agreements.

· Proactively ensure that managers and employees are aware of HR related deadlines and their responsibilities under these e.g. mandatory L&D or probation end dates etc. Escalate any upcoming and overdue deadlines to senior members of HR.

· Respond to general queries on SuccessFactors (e.g. navigation of system or cancelling time off), escalating technical issues when appropriate to the HR Systems Consultant.

· Day to day administration to ensure that all legal obligations on statutory health and safety matters and its duty of care to employees e.g. maternity and long term absence cases are adhered to .

· Handle all Occupational Health referrals.

· Advise employees on the interpretation of HR policies and guidelines, where appropriate.

· Collate and record HR data for both ad-hoc and scheduled Management Information reports.

· Assist the Data Champion in the processing of GDPR requests.

· Ensure SMCR certification and recertification administration is carried out in a timely manner and recorded on SucessFactors.

· Ensure all mid-year/year end appraisals are completed within agreed timeframe and advise the business regarding these processes as required .

· Assist with the year-end review for salary and bonus allocations and advise the business as necessary, including the review and distribution of salary/ bonus letters and communications .

· Contribute to both departmental and business owned projects.

Recruitment

· Ensure all recruitment for local and expat staff takes place within the remit of the Recruitment Policy (in conjunction with the recruitment team) and that hiring managers are aware of the agreed process. Escalate any issues to the senior members of HR.

· Administer and provide guidance on the recruitment activities for managers alongside the recruitment team as required , this may include liaison with recruitment/search firms, attending briefing meetings, ensure compliance with current immigration/right to work legislation.

· Review updated job descriptions and advise Line Managers where necessary.

· Carry out competency based interviews at appropriate levels.

· Conduct joining induction presentation in absence of L&D.

· Conduct ‘3 month review meetings’ with all new hires.

Employee Relations

· Deal with Employee Relations issues in a professional and consistent manner.

· Where appropriate, support managers in the management of complex cases through advice and coaching on application of Policy.

· Conduct grievance and disciplinary investigation meetings.

· Work closely with Senior HR professionals in order to contribute to the Disciplinary and Grievance processes.

· Conduct exit interviews where appropriate and collate data for the purposes of management information and follow up with any necessary actions.

Compliance Responsibilities:

You and if applicable staff in your area of responsibility to:

· understand and comply with MHBK Compliance Manual;

· understand and comply with UK, EMEA (as necessary), and Japanese regulation;

· be up to date with Anti Money Laundering training;

· have signed the required Compliance undertakings;

· report promptly any identified compliance or money laundering risks or actual breaches to the compliance department;


What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in this role, you will have previous experience in a HRBP position.

In return, you will receive a daily rate of £226.32 (including holiday pay)
