Exclusive new Import Coordinator opportunity to join a thriving wholesaler in the city centre - up to £32K

Your new company
A leading wholesale and distribution business with more than 50 years' experience is seeking an Import Coordinator to manage the fast-paced import operation, working closely with the Import Manager. This company places a great focus on looking after its staff, making it a fantastic place to work. They have just relocated to a stunning new office in Manchester City Centre having outgrown their old office - it's a really exciting time to join!

Your new role
As the Import Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the running of a seamless import operation to ensure that products arrive in a timely manner and are available to fulfil customer orders. Importing more than 65 containers per month from countries all over the world, this is a fast-paced import operation where you will be dealing with suppliers, freight forwarders and HMRC. Whilst the role is predominantly dealing with import operations, you will also have some involvement with exports too, so you will be reviewing import and export documentation and ensuring accuracy. You will also be checking and providing instruction for multi-modal import CDS entries, commodity codes and duty rates on the tariff.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous experience of working in a similar imports role, such as an Imports Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, Import Export Controller etc
  • Experience of working in a high-volume container traffic role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good understanding of import and export documentation
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities and effectively multi task
