Your new company

Hays Education are currently working with a primary school in the Wigan area who are looking to secure an EYFS Teacher/TA to start on an immediate basis. This role will run until September as a minimum with the potential to go beyond then and will be on a full-time basis. This is an ‘Outstanding’ rated Ofsted school and has an excellent reputation in the area. This would be an excellent role for an ECT/NQT looking to gain some more experience in the classroom.

Your new role

In this job role, you will be responsible for working with the pre-school class. This will be a job share class as there is already a pre-school teacher in the school, you will be required to work alongside them as a teaching assistant as well as work as a teacher on days they are not in. You will be responsible for assisting pupils in a variety of ways, including planning and delivering lessons when required, marking and assessing work, holding interventions as well as general tasks.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, you must hold qualified teacher status (QTS) gained in the UK. You will need to be able to manage groups of children and be able to manage challenging behaviour. This could be a perfect role for an NQT/ECT that is looking to gain some experience working within the primary school environment.
