Digital Marketing And Communications Executive
£33,000 + Bonus
Didcot – 3 Days in office

Hays Marketing are currently supporting an Oxfordshire based client who work within the manufacturing sector who due to expanding their in house marketing team now have a need for an experienced digital marketing and communications expert.
The successful candidate can expect to have responsibility of content creation for email and social, audience engagement and media relations, and serving as a steward of the brand and brand messaging, ensuring consistency and alignment with the brand voice across all communication channels. This role offers a great opportunity for hands-on experience within a collaborative environment.

The Role

  • Develop tailored communication channel plans, considering audience and messaging
  • Produce and distribute communication material including social media content, press releases, emails and blogs
  • Manage event communication, including invitations and event web pages
  • Arrange photography/videography where required
  • Assist in the development and execution of email marketing campaigns to support each channel, driving engagement and conversion
  • Content development and execution for internal communication
  • Create compelling email content including copywriting, subject lines and call-to-actions
  • Work with digital media executive to manage email lists and segmentation and ensure targeted and personalised communication
  • Assist in writing press releases, copy calls and other PR content to support product launches and brand initiatives across all customer channels, working with external PR agencies where relevant
  • Manage the planning and execution of advertising activity, including print ads, advertorials and digital display
  • Maintain relationships with journalists and influencers
  • Monitor media coverage and track PR metrics to evaluate effectiveness
  • Coordinate and support PR events including interviews, briefings and photoshoots
  • Develop and curate engaging content calendars
  • Manage the scheduling of social media content
  • Monitor accounts and respond to comments and messages to foster engagement
  • Work with digital media executive to report and analyse social media metrics to improve performance.

The Candidate

  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Creative copywriting and excellent proof-reading skills with a highly developed attention to detail
  • Strong team player
  • Proficient with key social media channels
  • Proficient with email marketing platforms
  • Experience of using Canva, or other graphics software packages, preferable
