Exciting opportunity for an experienced software professional to join a newly funded startup as it launches.

An exciting opportunity for an experienced software professional to join a well funded startup with a clear equity opportunity.

Your new company

You will be joining a new startup business that will lead the way in delivering an identity trust scheme to a range of organisations and sectors. The new business has been created from a successful software product company that's been in operation for more than 10 years, offering SaaS solutions across financial services and property. In preparation for upcoming government legislation concerning digital identity verification, they have developed an early stage solution that will help reduce duplication of processes, improve overall speed and ultimately reduce costs.

Your new role

They currently have a requirement for a Digital Solutions Manager to join their startup team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing all internal technology activities across development, design, security and infrastructure. You will work closely with existing external partners currently developing the platform and ensure ongoing delivery is well managed and meets user requirements. You will have overall responsibility for the application and infrastructure strategic roadmap.

This is a key role within the management team, and you will be involved in strategic and operational discussions and both internally and with clients/investors. You will influence how the product and team grow and have an opportunity to develop at pace into more senior posts such as CTO.

What you'll need to succeed

You will likely come from a software background (ideally Java) and have worked in similar small SAAS environments. You will be comfortable forming ideas and solutions across the business and product. You will have a clear appreciation for the full software development life cycle and for early process design right through to application support.

  • Track record working in software development/SAAS teams. Ideally with previous experience developing modern Java solutions.
  • Full life cycle.
  • Agile
  • Use of cloud infrastructure
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Cyber security policies and procedures.
  • Licensing.

What you'll get in return

This position offers the chance to be part of an exciting startup team, shaping a new product and having real influence on strategy and operations. You will also have a clear opportunity to obtain equity in the business and therefore have clear stake in the long-term success. The starting salary (c60k) reflects the early stage the business is at and applications will be welcomed from individuals with a clear desire to go through a startup journey and achieve the rewards in the medium and long term.
