Data Scientist - Consultant for one of the Big 4 Companies - Up to £60k

Exciting new role for a Data Scientist to join a Big 4 Consultancy:
Are you passionate about turning complex data into impactful insights? Our dynamic team is looking for an experienced Data Scientist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adept at using the latest technologies to drive data-driven decisions.

The team, a pivotal strategic element within a leading business specialising in tax and legal services, is at the forefront of pioneering capabilities that are shaping the future of innovative growth opportunities. As a member of a diverse, multidisciplinary team that includes experts from various sectors, technology and data science, you will provide essential data science knowledge and support across a wide array of projects, catering to both internal objectives and client-centric goals.

Your responsibilities will encompass the application of data mining techniques, conducting statistical analyses, implementing state-of-the-art machine learning tools and methodologies, and extracting insights to construct predictive models using structured and unstructured data. This position entails active participation in the execution of key data science-led services and transformative projects.

What you need to be successful:
  • Expertise in Machine Learning: Deep understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
  • Data Science Proficiency: Skilled in data science platforms like Alteryx, with a strong command of Python and associated data-centric libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, NLTK, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Airflow.
  • Statistical Analysis Acumen: Comprehensive knowledge of statistical analysis, including distribution assessments, statistical tests, and regression analysis.
  • Unstructured Data Management: Proven experience of handling and interpreting unstructured data sets.
  • Software Engineering Knowledge: Familiar with software development principles and collaborative programming practices, including code versioning, testing, and deployment.
  • DevOps/MLOps Experience: Practical knowledge of DevOps and MLOps practices, particularly within cloud platforms like Google Cloud or Azure.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: A strong analytical approach to data interpretation and decision-making.
  • Predictive Modeling: Ability to develop and evaluate predictive models and algorithms.
  • Innovative Research Skills: Experience in conducting research and developing prototypes with emerging technologies, particularly in generative AI.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Outstanding ability to work within a team and communicate effectively with both colleagues and external stakeholders.
Preferred:
  • Visualization Tools Expertise: Experience with data visualization tools, notably PowerBI and Tableau.
The role is based in Central London and the salary goes up to £60k.
