Admin Team Leader, University in Birmingham, ASAP start, 3 Months Temp

Your new company

You will be working for a university based outside of Birmingham City Centre as an Admin Team Leader (Assessments team). You will be working in a managerial role focusing on student assessments, examinations and graduation. This is a 3-month temporary assignment starting ASAP.


Your new role

Within your role of Assessments Teams Leader, you will coordinate and provide support for assessments. You will support all operational aspects of assessments such as exam setting, collation of assessments and management of examinations, graduation and assessments. You will ensure effective operations for assessments, ensuring excellent customer service at all times. You will follow procedures for all administration duties and liaise with exam boards and external stakeholders. You will act as team leader in this role, ensuring a smooth running of the wider team in important times such as results. You will be a proactive manager throughout the whole assessment period – pre, during and post. Within this assignment you must maintain high standards of complete accuracy and use multiple systems. Therefore, higher education or educational experience would be desired for this role. Knowledge of SITS is also desired for this role.


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will ideally come from a Higher Education or educational background and must have experience of working in assessments, graduations or examinations. You must be from a managerial or team leader background to ensure you can act within a managerial position effectively and successfully for this institute. You must be able to liaise with external job boards and examination bodies. You must have experience of writing agendas and reports surrounding assessments. Formal minute writing is crucial for this role. If you have timetabling experience, this would benefit you to perform well within the role also. You must be immediately available to start work and be happy to commit to a minimum of 3 month temporary assignment. You must be able to work 4 days on site each week.
