Role Overview:

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Degree in Science or a Related Discipline: A solid educational foundation in a scientific field is essential. Whether it’s biology, physics, chemistry, or earth sciences, your expertise will be the bedrock of your teaching.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): This certification demonstrates your competence and readiness to lead a classroom. It’s typically included as part of a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) course.
  • In-School Teaching Experience: Practical experience gained during your teacher training is invaluable. It’s where theory meets reality, and your classroom management skills take flight.
  • Fluent Level of Spoken and Written English: Effective communication is key. Your ability to convey complex scientific concepts clearly and engage students is paramount.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and Deliver High-Quality Science Teaching:

Cover classes for absent colleagues when needed.
