Hays are working with a public sector organisation based in between Bristol and Bath to support them in the recruitment for a permanent IT infrastructure team lead vacancy. The salary on offer is just shy of £53,000pa and the role offers hybrid working 1 day on site per week. In the role you will join a large enterprise IT environment and manage a technical team of 10 people. The team consists of network, server and VOIP engineers. This is an exciting time to join with large digital transformation and IT modernisation services programmes ongoing. You’ll support the IT service delivery manager and head of IT services across various projects, BAU and strategic work. You’ll provide day to day leadership of the team and play a critical role in the IT services department.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have management experience ideally a similar team (network, server, infrastructure, cloud, VOIP etc). Ideally, you will have worked in a large IT enterprise environment and preferably have public sector experience. You will need to be able to engage with senior stakeholders outside of the IT directorate and work with 3rd party suppliers. Technical knowledge will be beneficial, but you won't need to have engineer-level experience & knowledge.
