Requirement for a CNC Team Leader

Your new role
As Team Leader, you will liaise with the Production Manager and Supervisor daily regarding production requirements/priorities. You will organise the team of milling cell setters/trainee setters throughout the day to ensure the most effective use of each team member's skill set, and delegate tasks as necessary. You will ensure the production schedule is adhered to throughout the cell during each shift and carry out and oversee all other milling cell setups. You will identify and carry out necessary on the job training to upskill and develop the team. Creating online NC programmes from technical documents or other sources when required. You will ensure employees within the cell comply with all health and safety requirements/legislation and ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate should have proven and extensive hands-on experience in all aspects of CNC milling (minimum of 15 years). You should hold a recognised engineering apprenticeship qualification and have experience of leading a team. You must have excellent proven leadership qualities, including leading by example, being an excellent communicator, team builder/motivator, a positive can-do attitude, confident decision maker, unquestioned integrity, and mentorship. You should have extensive CNC milling machine related problem-solving skills and understanding of CNC milling machine control software. (preference will be given to those with Heidenhain control knowledge)
