GENERAL SUMMARY
Machinists are primarily responsible for the operation of CNC and manual machinery. Responsible for the inspection of finished goods, machines to ensure process control. Responsible for proactively following all health and safety codes which involve machinery.
Duties and Responsibilities

Operate and make adjustments to a multi axis CNC Machining Center.
Milling machining skills are essential.
Ability to programme on the Shop Mill system preferred but not essential
2/3 Axis programming skills are required as a minimum.
De-burr castings after machining
Quality assurance inspection of parts according to charts
Maintain efficiency records of equipment
Manual statistical testing to ensure the machine is to specifications
Perform safety and housekeeping tasks

SKILLS

Demonstrate the ability to understand and work with complex engineering drawings.

Can demonstrate the ability to work to fine limits/tolerances.

Proactive approach to work, using own initiative when required and is able to source tooling, jigs or fixtures.

Works well as part of a team, helping to motivate colleagues to achieve OTD targets, plant KPI’s and 2020 Vision objectives.

Excellent knowledge of 5s Housekeeping Standards, proactively implementing them.

Must be capable of operating CNC and manual machinery and jib cranes.
