Hays are delighted to be working with a reputable and locally established firm based in the Scottish Borders to support in the development of their bookkeeping services to a large portfolio of clients. The requirement for an experienced or trainee bookkeeper has become available.

Your new role
In your new role, you will be supporting in the preparation of daily bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients including VAT returns, journal entries and financial statements reconciliations. This role will focus on managing clients who use Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you will demonstrate a core understanding of finance principles and the ability to confidently carry out a similar role across bookkeeping and managing a client base. This role will be suited to someone who is local to the Scottish Borders and either, has experience working as a bookkeeper within an accountancy firm or someone who is motivated to progress their career within an accountancy firm who has an education background in finance.
