Part-time bookkeeper position City of London
Are you an experienced bookkeeper with a positive and proactive approach? We have a newly created role in a growing consulting and resource solutions business, offering part-time and hybrid working. Join our team and contribute to our success!
Role Overview:
- Position: Part-Time Bookkeeper
- Location: City of London (with remote work options)
- Hours: 24 hours per week (equivalent to 3 days)
- Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Sales Ledger Management:
Handle sales ledger tasks, with credit control support available from another team member.
Transactional Work:
- Maintain accounts by verifying and posting transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations for UK, US, Euro, and Polish accounts.
- Manage client invoices and payments.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
- Generate monthly management reports.
- Assist with year-end information and end-of-year management reporting and forecasting.
Additional Duties:
- Potentially manage internal payroll.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and banking contacts.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong bookkeeping skills with previous experience in a similar role (minimum part-qualified or QBE).
- Confidence in transitioning to online accounting software (e.g, SAP or Xero).
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel or other spreadsheets.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Computer literacy, including experience with international transactions and payroll processing (desirable).
