BI Developer - Analytics - ETL - Automation - Cloud services - Data management

Your new role

As a Business Intelligence Developer / Analyst, you will be a key member of the Data team, working closely with IT, Finance and Operations to deliver the business reporting requirements in a timely and consistent manner.

You will be responsible for developing and providing trusted data on performance, financial positions, and other metrics to aid decision-making across the business. You will also provide tactical information to end users to support process improvement and efficiency.

You will use your skills and experience in data warehousing, data visualisation, and reporting tools to create and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc queries. You will also work with management to aid the ongoing data strategy and ensure data quality and integrity. You will be involved in the entire data lifecycle, from data collection and transformation to data presentation and integration.

What you’ll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, it would be beneficial to have:

  • A strong aptitude for data analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Cloud Data and Automation technologies, such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Warehouse, Azure Data Bricks, etc.
  • Experience of working with data visualisation and reporting tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, Excel, etc.
  • Experience working with Windows SQL Servers and writing SQL scripts, including procedures, in Oracle and T-SQL.
  • Experience using SSIS, XML, and other forms of data transformations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to a broad audience.
  • A positive “can do” attitude and a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
  • An ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A qualification in a related discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science.
