*** Interior Designer / Interior Architect - Prominent Belfast Practice - £Competitive (DoE) ***

Your new company

Hays Architecture & Design NI are proud to working on behalf of a premier Belfast Studio in their search for an Interior Designer / Interior Architect. With a compelling heritage of forming as a teaching practice before cementing themselves as a progressive, collaborative collective at the forefront of innovation in the sector, they offer an attractive working environment, supported career development and the chance to become part of something exciting. With their interiors division a relatively new formation, this should appeal to those looking for a ‘ground-level’ role, that you can grow with as it flourishes. With stand-out projects, an approachable and talented line manager, this could be the role you’ve been looking for.

Your new role

You will join an interior design team that sits within the wider design team within a reputable Architectural Practice. Typology of projects will be largely commercial office and retail spaces, with student accommodation / hotels in addition – from time to time there will be deviations from this, but in general you’ll be tackling the interior sections of large-scale architectural projects. Reporting directly to the Head of Interiors, you’ll be tasked with developing schemes based on in-depth analysis of client’s briefs and proposed concepts, utilising Revit to integrate these into the wider project model. Whilst the mood-board creation and material specification elements of the role will come in future months, initially there is a requirement for someone to use their technical skills to help navigate current workload.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll have a degree within Interior Design / Furniture or Product Design / Architecture / Construction or other relevant subject, with 1-3 years practical experience working within an Interiors or Construction related field. You should be proficient in the use of AutoCAD & SketchUP, with additional Revit abilities an advantage but non-essential. You should have excellent presentation skills and a creative approach to communication design ideas and solutions. It is expected that you'll be competent in the use of Adobe & MS Office suites, with 3D rendering skills and a full UK Driving licence.

What you'll get in return

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Northern Ireland’s leading practices. Their offices are based in an attractive and vibrant part of Belfast city centre. You’ll receive ongoing development opportunities with career progression. The right person will have the opportunity to be an integral part of high profile and exciting projects throughout the UK.
