Job Title: Management Accountant | Job Location: Edinburgh

Your new company

You will be working for this independent membership organisation who provide training and development to healthcare professionals throughout Scotland. Steeped in history, the organisation offers interesting and varied work and a flexible approach. They are looking for a management accountant to report to the Head of Financial Reporting and the position will be available on a permanent basis.


Your new role

Within this varied role, you will be involved in the preparation of the committee reports, monthly management accounts and ad-hoc reporting to support business needs. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new growth story, managing financial accounting and playing a pivotal role in shaping the financial success of the organisation. You will be involved in Financial Planning & Analysis, which includes budget preparation, forecasts and financial modelling. Financial Reporting will also be key where you will prepare management accounts with a useful narrative. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in cost accounting, giving regular updates on program expenditure.


What you'll need to succeed

You will hold or be working towards a recognised accountancy qualification, such as CA, ACCA or CIMA and you will have excellent knowledge of management accounting. You will take an active role in college financial forecasting, and you will be able to work to strict deadlines. In addition, you will have a desire and the ability to contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of financial systems, processes and reporting. Knowledge of the charity sector would also be advantageous.
