Your new role
- Cash Books
- Bank Reconciliations
- Banking
- Sales Ledger
- Prepare invoices and credits when required.
- Prepare simple calculations with respect to invoices.
- Review aged debtors and chase outstanding balances as needed
- Reconcile sundry sales ledger on a monthly basis.
- Monitor and refund booking deposits.
- Reconcile allowances on a monthly basis to nominal ledger.
- Suspense Account
- Preparation and postings of bookings
- Purchase Ledger
- Provide cover for the Payroll and Purchase ledger accountant when required.
- Obtaining approvals for payment.
- Processing invoices in the accounting software.
- Preparing the payment run.
- Educated to GCSE (or equivalent).
- Strong numeracy skills
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
- Previous experience in a finance role.
- Good Excel skills.
- Ability to organise own workload and work to deadlines
- High level of integrity, and the ability to deal reliably with confidential information.
- Previous experience working in a small finance team
- Previous experience in contributing to changes in processes
- Proven ability to become proficient in new and unfamiliar IT systems.
