Hays are working for an established organisation in the Bristol area to support in the recruitment of a Senior IT Engineer. The role is paying up to £55,000pa, offers hybrid working and is offered on an initial fixed term contract for 18 months.

In the role you’ll work closely with the IT operations manager in a varied role to support 2nd / 3rd line IT support & infrastructure requests, but also be responsible for line management of junior IT support engineers. This is a team of two and you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations and also act as an escalation point when necessary.
You’ll act as a point of knowledge across the corporate IT environment across server, network and desktop / hardware. You’ll work with the wider IT directorate on project-based work and wider teams across the organisation, so you will need good stakeholder skills.

To be considered, you will need good technical skills across windows, desktop and application support, you’ll need exposure to the M365 suite and tablet / mobile device management. You’ll have exposure to dealing with escalations from a help desk and end user services. You’ll need to have experience leading and mentoring small teams and be comfortable with management / IT operations.
