Senior HR Generalist - ASAP Start -Up to £45k - Hereford - Hybrid Working - 12 Month FTC

Your New Role

As the HR Generalist, you will be the driving force behind yhe people-centric approach. Your role is pivotal in shaping company culture, attracting and retaining top talent, and fostering employee growth and development. You’ll be responsible for the entire spectrum of HR functions within our blue-collar organization.
Here are some more details about your responsibilities:
  1. Employee Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with employees, addressing their concerns, grievances, and feedback. Be the go-to person for resolving workplace issues.
  2. Compensation and Benefits: Manage compensation structures, benefits administration, and payroll processes. Ensure fair and competitive compensation packages for our workforce.
  3. Training and Development: Design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills, productivity, and job satisfaction. Identify development needs and create learning opportunities.
  4. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments, safety training, and accident prevention measures.
  5. Performance Appraisals: Oversee performance evaluations, feedback sessions, and goal-setting processes. Encourage continuous improvement and recognize outstanding contributions.
  6. Conflict Resolution: Mediate conflicts between employees, departments, or management. Promote a harmonious work environment.
  7. Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead recruitment efforts, conduct interviews, and onboard new hires. Streamline the hiring process and ensure a smooth transition for new employees.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  1. Knowledge of Labour Laws: A solid understanding of relevant UK labour laws, regulations, and employment standards for both white and blue-collar workers.
  2. Strategic Thinking: Proven experience in strategic planning for staffing, including conducting interviews and hiring personnel.
  3. People Skills: The ability to bridge management and employee relations, addressing demands, grievances, and other issues effectively.
  4. Performance Management: Experience in managing the recruitment and selection process, ensuring we attract the right talent.
  5. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive HR programs, including performance reviews, talent development, and HR policies.
