Enterprise Architect Role - Public Sector - £45,000 -£60,000

Are you passionate about designing and delivering innovative IT solutions that enable business transformation and growth? Do you have the skills and experience to lead and manage complex IT projects and architectures across multiple domains and platforms? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for the enterprise architect role I'm currently recruiting for on behalf of a public sector organisation based in Bristol.

As an enterprise architect, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining the enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap for the organization, aligned with the business goals and objectives.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders, IT leaders, and external partners to understand the current and future business needs, challenges, and opportunities, and to propose and deliver optimal IT solutions.
  • Defining and governing the enterprise architecture principles, standards, policies, and best practices, and ensuring their adherence and compliance across the organization.
  • Evaluating and recommending new and emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies, and integrating them into the enterprise architecture framework.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of solution architects and engineers, and providing technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing, developing, or managing complex IT systems and architectures, using various methodologies, frameworks, and tools, such as TOGAF, Zachman, ArchiMate, UML, etc.
  • Expert knowledge of current and emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the IT industry, such as cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, etc.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, such as business users, developers, managers, and vendors.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate business needs, requirements, and objectives into technical solutions.
  • Proven leadership, management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead, mentor, and work with other architects and engineers in a team environment.
