After two years of focused cultural change and organisational transformation initiatives by dedicated staff, EEAST came out of the NHS Oversight Framework in January 2024.

The Chief of Clinical Operations is seeking to appoint a high calibre professional to undertake a key leadership role within the Trust that will focus on the maximisation of vehicle availability.

  • The post-holder will develop short, medium, and long-term objectives in support of Trust’s Green Plan and sustainability objectives, with respect to EV implementation.
  • Represent the Trust at the meetings of the National Strategic Ambulance Fleet Group and other national professional bodies or stakeholder groups.
  • Lead the integration of circa 600 new vehicles into the EEAST fleet.

You will have a background in multi-vehicle fleet management in the ambulance, other blue light, transportation, logistics, armed forces, large corporate or public sectors arenas.

This is a real opportunity for innovative thinking in the creation of an exemplary fleet management function. The appointee will be a key member of the Clinical Operations Team in ensuring EEAST attains its goals of:
