Your New Team

This position will report to the Head of Customer Strategy & Planning and will work in the strategy & planning team, supporting the UK & Ireland and global businesses. This role will focus on devising customer-centric marketing plans linked to business growth, client retention and client engagement through products and other marketing programmes. They will set plans and activities for the Marketing department channels to execute, aligned to strategic priorities and business areas.

Your New Role

  • Work closely with Marketing director and Head of Customer Strategy & Planning to develop client focused marketing plans aligned to business categories including Enterprise services
  • Owner of planned client marketing strategies with business, department channels and other support functions driven by business need and customer analysis
  • Day-to-day ownership and delivery of B2B programmes
  • Management and execution of product pilot initiatives and onboarding into department channels a BAU
  • Define customer segmentation, business strategy and target audiences for B2B programmes
  • Understand business issues and customer acquisition programmes aligned to growth areas
  • Take ownership of planned B2B programmes and ensure they’re delivered against agreed timelines
  • Create detailed briefing documents and deliver effective department channel briefs, summarising clear timelines and actions
  • Create detailed project plans to ensure programmes are delivered in a timely manner and track progress
  • Ensure department channels are aligned and deliver actions according to the agreed schedules
  • Communicate effectively across department channels, business and support functions throughout
  • Use the project management software effectively to manage tasks and deadlines across B2B programmes
  • Manage the B2B Marketing Executive, including supporting with their day-to-day activity, prioritisation and career development
  • Be a senior figure in the department and provide guidance and advice to strategy & planning team and department channels
  • Present B2B programme updates to senior leadership including Board meetings
  • Provide regular updates, host status update meetings and use the project management software and calendar tool effectively in order to ensure efficient communication and scheduling
  • Maintain effective cross-functional collaboration between support functions including Front Office systems, Learning & Development, IT and Legal
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with third party providers
  • Responsible for filtering “operational” marketing activities into Marketing Operations team
  • Establish objectives, KPIs and targets to evaluate programme success
  • Work closely with data team to ensure regular reporting is set up to evaluate programme performance and monitor success
  • Work with channel teams to provide regular channel reporting
  • Understand software including PowerBI, Google Analytics and Excel to analyse performance
  • Provide useful insight and recommendations for optimisation based on data
  • Share insights and collaboration globally with other country’s Marketing departments

Key Requirements for success

  • Experience with project managing multiple projects and B2B programmes
  • Experience of shaping and deliver strategic marketing plans
  • Experience working in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Experience managing multiple deadlines and projects
  • Experience of executing product pilots and rolling out successful products/systems
  • Strong technical understanding of marketing products
  • Ability to grasp new technology and tools easily and quickly
  • Experience collaborating successful with all levels of stakeholders and cross-functional departments
  • Knowledge of B2B Marketing
  • Knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce
  • Demonstrates behaviour which supports the Hays brand values
  • Excellent collaborative skills and ability to work with multiple teams and departments across the business
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • First class communication skills to all stakeholder levels
  • Excellent knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, relationship management and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent project and product management skills
  • Leadership qualities and proven experience offering advice and consultancy
  • Attention to detail and able to develop and execute plans
  • Energetic and enthusiastic self-starter
  • Analytical and numerate, as reporting and optimisation are critical to ensuring continuous improvement across all campaigns
