This school in Bartley Green is looking to appoint a new teaching assistant into one of their Year 1 classes. The school is a 2 form entry setting that encourages a balanced and creative curriculum, incorporating opportunities for all pupils and staff to have inclusivity.

Your new role
This role will require you to assist a pupil in Year 1 on a 1:1 basis within the mainstream class. The pupils needs mainly involve supporting them in everyday school life, supporting in learning tailored to their interests and supporting during unstructured times like break and lunch time. The pupil communicates well and has good learning levels with some sensory needs. This role is an immediate start, with full time hours (5 days a week) until at least the end of the academic year.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have experience or be confident in working with SEN needs previously, with 1:1 experience being beneficial. You will need to have worked in a primary setting within the last two years as we require two working references. Ideally, your DBS will be on the update service, alternatively we can apply for one on your behalf. You will also need to have full time availability.
