Your new role
Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager, you will be given exposure to stakeholders across Merchandising, Marketing, Logistics (Own warehouse, 3PLs, and also Freight Partners), and more. You will take control of a category of products, working with commercial teams to understand their demand forecast, then placing orders and expediting / chasing those orders to ensure successful supply. You will be given the opportunity to learn, and encouraged to take on more responsibility and autonomy over time, with remuneration increasing as a result. The business is currently moving from Excel based planning, to using an advanced ERP system. Gaining experience through this transition is invaluable for any supply chain professional, and this role is a genuine opportunity to speed up your professional development within FMCG Supply Chain.
What you'll need to succeed
You will already have experience in a Supply Chain or Inventory Planning role, and be looking for an opportunity to progress. You will be comfortable with Excel (including use of Vlookup and Pivot Tables). We are looking for a confident communicator, with developing analytical and planning skills, able to take the initiative and be comfortable making decisions, while being fully supported by your line manager and senior leadership. Any exposure to Master Data and use of ERP / MRP systems for Supply Chain control is also an advantage. Please note there will be infrequent offsite meetings (maybe 1 per month), so driving licence is essential, all expenses for travel will be covered).
