Supply Chain Customer Service Advisor

Permanent Supply Chain Customer Service Advisor role in Reading- £23,000-£26,000 per annum
Your new role

Act as a point of contact within the Supply Chain function for operational managers, support office and suppliers and deliver excellent customer service to all our internal and external customers to ensure the interaction with the function exceeds expectations.
  • Log & resolve all issues that arises within a timely period.
  • Receive purchasing issues from operational teams – by phone, e-mail or via Internal Systems - and resolve the issue with the supplier to the satisfaction of the operational contact.
  • Provide Supply Chain Purchasing Managers with regular reports on the issues involving the suppliers in their respective categories.
  • Request from suppliers, new accounts for units and confirming these via Internal Systems to the operational teams.
  • Support our E-invoicing project to help onboard and support suppliers with PDF e-invoicing queries.
  • Liaise with suppliers in a timely manner when in receipt of an FS14s. Ensuring the suppliers respond with an agreed SLA and to close the complaint.
  • Maintain the Commercial Site Listing (CSL) with the default price level and supporting information based on information provided by the Opening or Closing Notice.
  • Maintain the approved supplier listing on the Intranet with appropriate contacts to be made available for operations staff. To regularly review and update this document.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Organised, calm and confident in a pressurised environment with the ability to prioritise under pressure and demonstrate individual accountability
  • A passion for customer service excellence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer handling skills with the ability to analyse and act upon management information
  • Results oriented with strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proactive, highly motivated and adaptable to change, as the company and industry in which they are based is very fast paced and competitive
  • A good level of computer literacy
  • Must be flexible and prepared to work unsocial hours as necessary
  • Intellectually astute
