Your new company
Is a global pharmaceutical company, with an excellent reputation, looking for experienced candidates to help grow their Insights and Business Intelligence team.
Your new role
Will involve generating and utilising a mix of competitor/market analysis, secondary data, and primary market research to support activities including strategic market planning and forecasting, monitoring marketing campaigns and product launches. This will be done by generating insights and turning these into actionable strategy and recommendations for senior management.
As well as liaising with a wide range of internal departments, such as sales & marketing, and other Business Intelligence colleagues, you will be managing relationship sand projects with external vendors, such as market research agencies.
You will also be working with on-market and pipeline assets, using IMS and other data to assess market conditions and brand performance, leading a number of self-contained business intelligence, insight and market research projects.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have strong experience within an insight, business intelligence or market research focused role within the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, either for a pharmaceutical industry or an agency focused in this area.
As well as a life sciences degree (or equivalent), you will need to demonstrate expertise in using Excel (or similar) and IMS data to generate forecasts for drugs within the UK market, and a track record of leading projects within market research and insight for on-market and pipeline drugs.
You will need excellent organisational and communication skills, ideally gained through managing relationships with internal/external stakeholders, experience of managing external vendors/research agencies and setting out project plans and timelines, as well as a good understanding of the UK healthcare market.
Candidates who have worked with NHS prescribing data and HES data, or similar data sets, are at an advantage, as are those with experience of market/patient segmentation.
What you'll get in return
The chance to work for a growing company that are serious about investing in their staff's development, an excellent working atmosphere, the ability to progress your career with a leader in the field, and a great opportunity to have a significant impact on the company's UK business.
