Digital & Technology Services at the University of Nottingham are embarking upon an exciting period of digital transformation, including a key strategic project to replace the core HR, Finance and Procurement systems with Oracle Cloud (HCM, Financial, EPM, SCM) over the next two years.
The University are investing in a number of key roles over the next two years, including a new
Senior Business Analyst to work closely with the Head of Business Change, Project Team and a range of key stakeholders across the organisation to drive forward our digital capacity.
As
Senior Business Analyst you will take a leading role in the business activities for the transformation programme and be responsible for establishing key user objectives, processes and needs, and to ultimately, define outcomes that provide tangible benefits and align to the Universities wider strategies.
You will develop an effective strategy to support our Head of Analysis and Change and the DTS leadership and articulate the functional requirements that will drive systems design and development activity.
You will also play a key role in driving stakeholder engagement and develop strong relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders across the organisation to establish critical project objectives and generate value across a range of teams.
Core Skills
- Experience in Business Analysis, and an understanding of the full project life cycle, including discovery, requirements analysis, testing and transition to live
- Exposure of using core business analysis tools and techniques including workshop facilitation, process mapping, requirements elicitation and documentation, and recommendation/options papers.
- Strong stakeholder management with the ability to communicate and influence a broad audience across the university
- Experience of working across a range of IT and Systems Projects within a complex organisation working within both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- ISEB Business Analysis and/or Project Management methodologies such as Prince 2 qualifications are desirable but not essential
- Any experience of working on Oracle Cloud implementation projects is desirable but not essential
