Senior Building Surveyor, North West London Location, 6 Month Contract, Hybrid Working, Competitive Rate

My clients are a public sector organisation who are currently looking to recruit a Senior Building Surveyor to join their team and assist with ongoing projects and planned works. The offices are based in North West London close to local train stations and bus stops, making this an accessible location.

Your new role

As the Senior Building Surveyor you will be responsible for carrying out detailed surveys on buildings which have projects ongoing and those which are part of the "planned works" stages. You will contribute to the creation and maintenance of a detailed database listing each property and provide advice and insights relating to the quality of properties that have been inspected. Carry out structural surveys and prepare schedules of condition and dilapidation assessments for defined properties and buildings.

  • Investigate building defects, focussing on structural issues and make recommendations to assess and resolve them as appropriate.
  • Undertake feasibility studies and provide estimates, drawings and specifications for work which are required.
  • Prepare reports and give professional / technical building surveying advice and training for non-technical staff on building related subjects.

What you'll need to succeed

As the successful candidate you will need to be an experienced and qualified Building Surveyor who can demonstrate knowledge in all the above areas. Whether you have experience in residential or commercial properties your application will be considered. Being an MRICS Chartered Surveyor is essential and ideally my client is looking for someone with at least 3 years experience. Excellent communication and customer service skills are also essential for this job.
