Hays Education are currently working with an Ofsted rated “GOOD” primary school in Widnes as they require a Teaching Assistant for long term cover from January 2022.
Your new role
As a Teaching Assistant in a primary school, you will be working with children aged between 4-11 with a range of complex and proud SEN (Special Educational Needs), such as SEMH, Challenging Behaviour and Anxiety. Throughout the school day you will work under the instruction of the class teacher, aiding with general classroom and behaviour management. As you will be supporting children with SEMH and Challenging Behaviour you will not only be supporting them academically but also offer emotional support in a safe and inclusive environment.

What you'll get in return
- A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Recent referenceable experience supporting children with challenging behaviour (minimum 40 days in the last 2 years)
- A calm and friendly demeanour
- Previous experience supporting children with SEMH is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent people skills as to build constructive relations with staff and pupils
