Your New Company

I am working with a range of schools across South Wales, covering areas including Cardiff, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, RCT, Bridgend, Newport and Torfaen, who are looking to recruit secondary school teachers across a range of subject areas for the next academic year. Schools will plan their staffing needs for the next academic year shortly after end of year exams, meaning Hays are looking to register teachers in anticipation of several upcoming vacancies.

Your new role

You will be teaching secondary school classes in your specialist subject area, with the possibility of offering more generalised cover teaching should you choose to. We work with schools who recruit for long-term teaching positions that often develop into permanent employment through the NPS framework, whilst also offering casual employment on a day-to-day basis depending on your schedule and requirements of schools.

What you’ll need to succeed

You must hold qualified teacher status (QTS) to be considered for teaching posts through Hays; we also welcome applications from PGCE students who will be graduating this summer. We are looking for teachers who are passionate about education and their specialist subject areas, who are adaptable and confident working with pupils from a range of ability levels.
