School Caretaker required for Middlesbrough Primary School. You will be working in a fantastic school in the Middlesbrough area.

Your new role

You will ideally have worked within a school environment previously or have a strong maintenance background.

• Opening the site for staff and students each morning
• Ensuring the site is accessible and safe on a daily basis
• Carrying out daily/weekly/monthly safety checks and actioning as appropriate
• Closing the school site ensuring correct lock up procedure is applied daily.
• Carrying out basic maintenance
• Liaising with contractors
• Supporting the school manager to ensure the site is functioning correctly
• Split shifts

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience in a trade or worked in a role involving building maintenance
• You will need to be professional at all times, as well as friendly and enthusiastic.

• A current enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to acquire one through Hays
• Two references from previous work
