Recruiting a Registered Manager for a Children's Residential Home

Hays Social Care are currently looking for an experienced Registered Manager in the Wellingborough area. Your new role
In your new role as a Registered you will need to be confident, supportive and willing to inspire young people (14yrs +) to obtain and succeed in achieving their life goals. You will have the responsibility for the management of all services, including staff management, supervision, care and placement planning, safeguarding, communication, report writing and monitoring quality and compliance. This role for a Registered Manager is to assist young people with emotional behavioural difficulties. You will need to be an encouraging individual with the ability to support and aid in identifying the strengths and dreams of a young person.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be able to assist in helping young people gain the necessary skills and confidence to obtain employment and move on to a brighter and fulfilling future. Maintain professional relationships with the team around the child, multi-agency partnerships and where appropriate parents, families, and other stakeholders. You must help instil the principles of equality and diversity into the culture of the home and promote quality, diversity and a non-discriminatory culture that supports people in exercising their rights. You must be able to provide evidence of at least 3 years of Registered Manager experience in the social care sector alongside references and evidence of strong Ofsted reports. You must have an updated DBS or be satisfied with obtaining a new one. You must be knowledgeable of the welfare rights and legislation. You are liable for house administration systems and maintaining performance. You will be responsible for budget management and containing expenditure within allocated budgets. You must be able to provide on-call commitments for the home and ensure an effective on call procedure is in place during any absence from the home.
What you'll get in return
As well as working in your desired profession, in return you will receive a competitive salary on a temporary basis and as there is the option for it to go permanent the starting salary would be from £45,000- £50,000 with up to £8,000 bonus. There is also guarantee progression within 12-18 months in the organisation as the home will be expanding.
