Change, Grow, Live (CGL) are one of the largest charities operating throughout the UK that deliver a recovery and rehabilitation service to victims of alcohol and substance misuse. Hays are proud to partner with CGL on their new project where they are providing a new focus, working with Ministry of Justice to support those within the justice system to receive support at a time where it is at most required and has not necessarily been available. This project is due to run for the next 3 and a half years and provides some fantastic opportunities to work not only with a UK leading charity but also support some of the more vulnerable people within society.
Your new role
You will be working within a prison environment providing recovery support to individuals who have been convicted of multiple reasons and who are victims of alcohol and substance misuse. You will be providing a programme to help support in their rehabilitation, delivering screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, and recovery planning. You will be working with service users to encourage social (re) integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives, promoting recovery, peer support and self determination This is a full-time position with temporary and permanent opportunities
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this position, you must have experience working with victims of alcohol, substance misuse and homelessness. You will have experience working in a prison or ex-offenders service and have knowledge surrounding criminal justice. You must have extensive knowledge of the rehabilitation process and the contributing factors to success and social functioning This job is open to entry level graduates who may not have experience but qualifications such as a degree in Criminology is essential and/or good knowledge, personal experience.
