Your new role
As the Quality Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the strategic and operational performance of the Quality Department, ensuring the successful delivery of business strategy, key performance indicators and company objectives. Duties will be to: develop and implement the Quality Strategy to ensure it meets the business requirements and customer expectations, as well as ensuring departmental performance against company goals and the objective of ‘first time right’. Lead the Quality Team and support timely delivery of products made to specification made within our own factory. Act as the quality interface between Company and its customers and suppliers and where appropriate participate in the negotiation of best resolution on issues for Company. Work closely with the Procurement Manager to analyse, maintain and develop existing supply base; and then identify, audit and approve new supply resources in order to continually match commercially feasible capacities with changing requirements. Work closely with all department managers and supervisors to plan, formulate and agree quality standards. Ensure that customer concerns and product non-conformances are investigated urgently and effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented. Develop, implement and monitor a Management System to ensure adherence with all appropriate industry, legal and customer-specific standards across all business activities; monitoring and reporting the performance of processes, and developing corrective actions where desired.
Dayshift hours Mon - Fri
What you'll need to succeed Ideally you will have a Third level qualification in an Applied Science or Quality related discipline. Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing quality strategies, and working to ISO Quality Standards. Minimum of 5 years Quality control and improvement experience, ideally within a similar environment. Previous experience of managing a quality team
