Job Overview
To support the delivery of large complex projects for our client’s customers either independently or as part of programme to time cost and quality criteria. This role is customer facing. Budgets will be assigned on a per project basis (typically £500k-£1m).
Key Responsibilities
- Creating detailed project plans encompassing all deliverables & ensuring stakeholder buy in.
- Managing change control using the appropriate process.
- Creating and sustaining collaborative working relationships across the customer, suppliers, and internal delivery teams whilst defining clear roles and responsibilities.
- Controlling of project budgets.
- Tracking and reporting of forecast vs actual CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) and OPEX (Operational Expenditure - Operational Expenditure – our client’s ongoing operational costs) budgets.
- Financial management extends also to change management and subsequent revenue generation.
- Complying with our client’s Project Delivery Lifecycle methodology which is supported by industry project management standards such as PRINCE2.
- Establishing & maintaining a Risk and Issue register identifying new risks and response and mitigation strategies.
Experience Needed
- Prince2 Practitioner
- Strong customer facing experience
- Proven track record of delivering projects
- Self-motivated individual with good organisational, interpersonal, and influencing skills
- Good understanding of technical terms
- Telecommunications background preferred
- Significant proven Project Management experience of managing large and complex projects
