This is the company is on a transformation journey and is looking to innovate their technology platforms, our Workplace Financial health business (Personal investing) is delivering an ambitious multi-year change programme across its business, the technology teams and working in partnership to align to its vision to deliver innovative client solutions for a better future for both pension schemes and their members.
Your new role
The exciting opportunity is to join the company as a Programme Manager. Supporting the Vision, the Programme Manager will be working on a high-profile programme within the Personal Investing department to support the ongoing demand within the Personal Investing Portfolio. The successful candidate will join the Personal Investing team to support day to day running of projects, oversight of portfolio’s, risk management and responsible for project deliveries - expertise will be needed across not just Technology delivery but also experience in delivering global Risk Management solutions in Financial Service organisations, Strong leadership, Senior management level communication and influencing skills. Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-year programmes of work.
You will be:
- Managing a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple General Counsel business functions.
- Develop and manage all aspects of project engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues.
- Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues.
- Work creatively in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
- Manage projects within the guidelines of the change and risk frameworks of Fidelity.
Together with this there is continued move towards greater use of Agile and DevOps practices. The GC Technology team itself consists of approximately 40 people based in both the UK and India.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Programme Manager with a solid background gained within the financial services industry (Preferably)
The successful candidate must have a detailed knowledge of working in an Agile environment using Agile tools and techniques. You will have experience working with full scale Scrum or Kanban and be a competent user of Jira and Confluence. The ability to think from a customer viewpoint and provide a high level of service to internal clients, excellent presentation skills, with the ability to address different audiences with the right level of complexity and refinement.
