PMO Manager in Manchester - £50,000 - £60,000 + Excellent Benefits. Working to Establish a new PMO function.

A Dynamic and rapidly growing organisation based in Manchester are looking for an experienced PMO Manager to help develop, establish and lead a new PMO function. You will take responsibility for the quality, governance and reporting as well as the support of end to end delivery of Change, Projects and Programmes to the business.

Reporting to the Head of Business Change and a senior member of the Business Change team, you will focus on the ensuring that the Change Delivery Framework is understood, that it is effective and it is consistently followed. You will identify and implement best practice to allow for efficient delivery of Projects across the business. You will manage processes, systems, reporting and communication to enable the business to understand the Change Portfolio, Change Roadmap and all priorities.

The successful applicant will take responsibility for the end to end Change Delivery Framework and associated governance and processes. Working closely with Business Change, IT and Business Owners to embed and enhance the framework and methodologies and ensure that if facilitates decision making and the delivery of change as the business grows. You will work with stakeholders and colleagues to make sure that the effective governance is in place and manage plans and priorities across the whole change portfolio. You will have responsibility for the Change Roadmap, ensuring that it is communicated business wide and ensure that benefits of change are clearly documented, that it is realistic and that it is regularly updated throughout the project lifecycle.

You will be responsible for carrying out post implementation reviews, documenting successes and identify areas that need to be addressed. You will ensure projects hit key milestones, collect and maintain portfolio RAID, identify opportunities for business improvement, produce regular Change Forum Packs and ad-hoc reports and have the ability to escalate risk and issues to the Head of Business Change.

To be successful for this role, you will have a demonstrable track record as a PMO Manager and ideally have experience of setting up a PMO function. You will also need to have some hands on Project Management experience. You will have excellent communications skills with the ability to build and maintain robust and effective relationships with internal teams and virtual teams. You have the ability to manage, coach and develop a team and have previous ‘hands on’ experience in a Project Management position with a solid understanding of Project Management methodologies. You will have worked in a fast paced and evolving change environment and have a track record of implementing planning tools and techniques.

Financial Services or Banking experience is highly desirable but not essential for the role.
