Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a Global Organisation to recruit for a dynamic and hands-on Payroll Analyst based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire. The position will offer remote/office hybrid working with progression and development. Reporting directly into the Payroll Manager and working within a team environment you will provide a specialist expertise for processing a variety of monthly Payrolls. To ensure that the Payrolls are processed on time, accurately and with integrity. A great opportunity where you can really add value within a leading and well-established Global Group.

Your new role

You will plan, develop, and execute established payroll procedures, schedules, and controls needed to provide timely and accurate payroll. Coordinate the collection and processing of payroll source documents and ensure they are complete, accurate and properly authorised for payments to employees and 3rd parties. Guarantee the proper timely distribution of payroll payments and payslips, ensure payroll source documents are retained in line with HMRC, data protection and audit guidelines. You will work with third party payroll provider to ensure enhancements to the payroll system and all software upgrades are accurate and timely. You will process/calculate statutory payments to include SMP, SAP, SPP, SSP, etc along with review/manually process company sick pay and be involved in the payroll reporting process. You will support the Payroll Manager in the transition of new payrolls into the Group and assist in process/system improvement projects.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this permanent Payroll Analyst role you will need experience within a similar position, knowledge of payroll processes/legislation, with strong communication skills to build both internal/external relationships, pro-active in the resolution of queries and have strong accuracy/attention to detail. You will have the ability to learn and adapt to different systems, good organisation skills and be comfortable with MS excel. Experience within ADP Freedom, IHCM payroll, HR SAP and studying towards a payroll qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
