Your new company
Hays Education are currently supporting a SEMH school in recruiting a committed and adaptable Mentor to work with their KS3 and KS4 students on a long-term part-time basis. This role is to start in September and will continue an ongoing basis with potential for permanent hire for the right candidate. It is a small school based in Solihull and are looking for someone to fit into their hardy and devoted team of staff.

Your new role
The role will have a large focus on wellbeing and behaviour monitoring in pupils. You will be responsible for joining and observing the students on their travel into school. You will support the pupils in conduct on public transport and ensure safe and supervised travel into site, and building relationships with the pupils to encourage a pleasant and calm journey.
The role is for 4 hours per day (2 hours travelling both to and from school), and will be for 5 days per week.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this Bus Guide role, you must have experience working with children with emotional challenges and must also have confidence in supporting secondary-aged students with their social and emotional wellbeing.
