Your new company

You will be working HM Prison Huntercombe which is a category C prison [https://www.prisonphone.co.uk/understanding-prison-categories-what-is-a-category-c-prison/] that houses adult males. It also only holds foreign nationals, in a bid to support the government with deportation of foreign national offenders. The prison, which opened in 1946, is located in Henley-on-Thames and has a capacity of 430.

Your new role

We have an exciting opportunity available as a Project Escort working within the Prison Service. You will be working as part of the operational security team, within the projects team. The role of Escort is important to the safe working for GFSL Contractors within the prison environment.
Your duties will include:

• Check all tools and plant ensuring a current tool list is up to date.
• Obtain permission to move contractors from Communications.
• Escort the contractors to the place of work, ensuring you follow from the rear …

This role is an ongoing temporary.
It is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
The rates are: £10.88/h (inclusive of holiday pay)
Overtime week end : £24.75/hour

What you'll need to succeed

You will need no formal qualifications. However, you will need to be security conscious, level headed and have exceptional interpersonal skills. You will also have good ability to work as a team to achieve goals. Immediate start if you are already prison security cleared. You must hold a Valid Passport or Birth Certificate & Photo Driving Licence in your current address. All applicants are subject to satisfactory referencing and a prison security clearance procedure.
