Office Manager/Coordinator With Immediate Start, salary of £25k+ (Temporary with opportunity to go Permanent)

You will work with a reputable charity who put their all into changing the lives of many at their base in Mitcham. Each year they reach and touch over 7 million lives with their offered services. The pandemic really highlighted how vital information and advice is to people, especially when face-to-face contact becomes almost impossible. Through the year 2020/21, this charity has accelerated their work and refocused their vision to expand their advice lines and ensure they reach more people with help.

Your new role
As an Office Manager you will assist the team in providing general administrative support to ensure the efficient management of Charity’s systems, processes, and facilities. You’ll conduct regular building and equipment checks, arranging repairs and maintenance as required, setting Health and Safety standards for staff and volunteers to follow on Charity premises, including acting as Fire Marshall. Support will also be given to the Head of Finance and Operations to develop and update Charity’s policies and procedures in line with review dates and updates to relevant legislation. Liaising with the HR department, you’ll assist with DBS checks for new employees, support recruitment processes and general HR administration. Lastly, you’ll provide administrative support to fundraising activities and support the delivery of such events in collaboration with other team members.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for this role will have a history of providing admin support to multi-functional teams, will be able to prioritise workload systematically and take leadership in coordinating the office and operations. A great team player is also essential, as well as having knowledge of excellent IT skills (including accurate data entry, Microsoft Office, and desirably, CRM systems). As a strong office manager, you’ll also have the ability to work without direct supervision and demonstrate initiative. In line with the charity’s core values you’ll familiarise yourself with these, as they relate to your role, and demonstrate personal/professional empathy always.
