A Marketing and Administrative Assistant is required for a secondary school in Norwich to be part of the Teaching School Hub team.

Your new company

This Marketing and Administrative Assistant job is based at a Norwich secondary school and is part on the Teaching School Hub team. Although this role is based at the school, you will be on a separate site within the school. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with childcare responsibilities as you will be working during term time only.

Your new role
  • To provide administrative support for communication and training events
  • Operate the Hubs marketing and communications plan
  • Liaise with external local and national organisations in relation to the Hub
  • Travel to various events across the region on a rota basis

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Teaching Hub and Schools Support Services Manager, in promoting Hub services.
  • Operate a marketing and communication plan effectively, including:
  • Produce and maintain marketing materials for Hub activities.
  • Manage the Hub website.
  • Formal emails and Newsletters.
  • Social media presence (Twitter, Facebook and YouTube).
  • Perform event management services, including:
  • Managing bookings for training.
  • Tracking attendance for training and other events.
  • Logistics with event venues.
  • Supporting facilitators during events.
  • Processing evaluations from participants.
  • Periodic reporting of data to the DfE.
  • Liaise with the wider Hub team as part of our delivery.
  • Ensure timely invoicing of Hub customer schools / organisations, working with the Finance department.
  • Contribute to financial tracking relating to Hub activity.
  • Reproduce training materials as required by training facilitators.
  • Monitoring quality of purchases and seek out new suppliers.
  • Prepare papers and co‐ordinate arrangements for related meetings and provide administration and organisational support.
  • To be fully conversant with Health and Safety regulations and ensure they are complied with.
  • Any other duties relevant to the post
  • Be aware of and comply with statutory and school policies and procedures as applicable.
  • Participate in training and other learning activities as required and to participate in appraisal and professional development.
  • To support whole school events for the Catholic ethos of the school.
  • Undertakes other similar duties and activities that fall within the grade and role and any other duties as may be reasonably required by the CEO.

  • GCSE English Language and Mathematics Grades C or above
  • Relevant marketing qualification is desirable although not essential
  • Experience of Event management
  • Experience of running Marketing campaigns
  • Experience of using a range of electronic media for marketing and communications
  • Experience of monitoring a Budget
  • Experience of managing and using Data
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment
  • Excellent communication skills: oral and written
  • Meticulous administration skills
  • Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
  • Exceptionally organised and methodical
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships with all members of the MAT and wider community
  • Knowledge of a variety of ICT systems including Excel, Word, Publisher
