We are seeking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineering Manger to join one of Northern Irelands best known manufacturing firms. Our client has grown from humble beginnings to be one of the country’s leading manufacturing firms, a leading supplier to the aerospace sector their have multiple sites across locations in County Down and County Armagh. Your new role
As the new Manufacturing Engineering Manager you will lead, manage and develop of a team of manufacturing engineers responsible for the design, development, validation and on-going support of production system to ensure the system produces product that consistently fulfils technical, quality and cost requirements. Key responsibilities within your new role will include the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing engineering as well as developing, implementing and managing key performance indicators (KPIs). In your new role you will be expected to drive continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, process improvement & machine availability. Another key element of your new will be to design, prove, implement, and maintain production systems to deliver product on time, to quality and cost requirements. A key element of your new role will be to manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels, managing holiday allowances, recruitment, training, development, appraisal, attendance, disciplinary issues and daily supervision to maximise efficient productivity.

What you'll need to succeed
To prove successful in securing the Manufacturing Engineering Managers role you should be coming with a Level 5 qualification in Engineering or above and minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in a similar environment as well as a minimum 3 years’ experience managing a team. Applicants must have experience of New Product Introduction, reworking design changes and upgrades through to production.
