Hays Building Services is working with an organisation that specialise in providing repairs and maintenance works to the UK’s Ministry of Defence, who currently require a M&E Project Manager on a temporary contract.

Your new role
As Project Manager you’ll work on a wide range of M&E projects within the construction sector. You can be working on several projects at any one time dependent upon the scale and complexity of the project. You will take the lead of projects involving pumps, pipework, boiler rooms, HV services including feeder pillars, substations. You’ll be responsible for the planning, management, coordination, and financial control of projects, ensuring the appropriate governance is applied.

What you'll need to succeed

• HNC, or equivalent in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience
• Previous project management experience on refurb / maintenance works.
• Experience in agreeing, scoping, planning, directing, and controlling activities within the construction industry
• Experience managing multiple low valued projects at one time
• Willing to undergo MOD security clearance

What you'll get in return

• 5 days per week – 37.5 hours.
• Up to £300 per day (PAYE rate slightly lower).
