Several new opportunities to join an education regulator as a Legal Adviser
Your new company
An established regulatory body responsible for the higher education sector. Due to growth within their legal department, they are looking for up to eight Legal Advisers to start as soon as possible on a permanent basis.

Your new role
As a Legal Adviser, you will lead on the provision of legal advice and support for a broad range of legal matters relevant to the functions of the organisation and its internal corporate activities. Key responsibilities include; supporting the Head of Legal Services and other senior lawyers in tasks relating to the operation of the legal function and leadership of specific initiatives. These roles require significant engagement with internal stakeholders to ensure that all employees are appropriately trained, and external stakeholders to ensure the team is supported.

In terms of working arrangements, these roles can be based in London or Bristol - some travel may be required from time to time although any expenses will be covered. The organisation are also open to hearing from applicants who are looking to work part-time, although a minimum of 3 days would be required.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for the role you should be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with several years post qualified experience, newly qualified candidates will also be considered. You must have experience of public, administrative and regulatory law gained either at a government/public sector department, regulator or on the other side in private practice. You might also have investigations, higher education, human rights or charity law experience.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a competitive salary, benefits package and flexible working (40/60 split in the office and at home). The total remuneration package at this level will be circa £55,000-60,000. You will benefit from working with an established team.
